Apartment Therapy is the site that inspired us to start our little blog.

Their wise editors also choose to feature our humble kitchen remodel last summer.

Every year Apartment Therapy host a “popularity contest” of sorts for home/design/family/food blogs. Yepp, all of those.

We are nominated in 2 different categories.

• Best Home Design & Inspiration Blog
• Best Home Projects & DIY Blog

Pretty darn cool.

For sheer humility, I should add that a couple hundred other blogs were nominated too. Last time I checked, which is about every 20 minutes, we only had a handful of votes.

This is NOT about wining anything. (a certain proverb about a snowball and a place of eternal damnation comes to mind)

This IS about getting noticed, and getting noticed by people who wouldn’t normally know where to find us.

“Greetings to you, new reader…Have a look around. We just might inspire you ….or make you cringe at our lack of taste. We like taxidermy, “organized” clutter, pillows, and American flags just thumbtacked to the wall. If those facts haven’t scared you away yet, we’re glad that you’re here.”
