I was pretty excited that this year I would have room for a new, bigger tree. As much as I love the smell and look of a real tree, I don’t feel safe putting my huge collection of ornaments on dying branches. And it takes forever to wrap the 3 sizes of lights on every branch……not to mention how quickly all that heat dries out a real tree. We found just the right size silk tree for our house at Target. After a few hours of adding red cranberry and bubble lights, I layered in garlands and spinners. The best thing about a fake tree is that I can manipulate the branches to hold every ornament right where I want it. I have been collection blown glass ornaments for almost 20 years now……I always pick one up on a vacations, and my friends and family give them to me every Christmas. As with every Christmas tree, mine is a huge scrapbook of my life.
