For those of you “not in the know”, Younghouselove.com is the blog that inspired us on our journey of blog-dom.  John and Sherry have created a huge following online with posts about tackling all the remodeling, decorating, and daily maintance of thier 50 year old Richmond Virginia home. These barely-30 something’s have about 1 million visitors a month…we have a drastically smaller number than that……(whispers to myself) “drastically smaller”.  Jamie was tracking our blog traffic the other night, and found it strange that several people were directed to our page from Young House Love. A little investigating showed us that Barbette had posted a link for Sherry to see our den and the inspiration we gave her with our Ikea bookcases turned console….Naturally, I commented, and Sherry back…

 

In the grand scheme of things…this is soooo small. It’s not like they did a feature article on us , a house crash, or even showed a single thumbnail…..And some day we will look back at this with embarrassment of how flattered I am.

 

But every little step counts…..and just a refference to us, on a popular site like they have……….. is

 My comment was number 258 on that post….I can’t believe that Sherry , the mother of a toddler,  was sitting there at a quarter till 1 in the morning, with a kitchen full of newly laid penny tile waiting to be grouted…..took the time to send me a reply….
