Like most junkers, I occasionally bring home junk.
Like these old license plates.
I have many, many….(sigh) many more. These are just a few of my faves.
Truth be told, I still have the old ones off my previous vehicles. Hard to part with anything.
I thought it might be cool to cover the bathroom walls like this awesomeness…..

Looks like the men’s room at a dive bar. Not that that is always a bad thing. (Pretty sure the urinals are just out of view)
Our tastes have matured a little – just a little – and we want our bathrooms to look a little bit ……. cleaner.
I could use those old plates to make a statement art piece.
Like this great grouping in this pretty traditional living room.

Or some sort of hanging room divider in the backyard, like this one….

Looks pretty easy to make, just need some short lengths of chain.
But with tin snips, I could make something like these….

This one is for my friend Kay.

Or maybe something that really looks like a challenge.
This one from Design Turnpike looks tough to copy. Good thing it’s purchasable – $1999 and another $250 to ship – and it’s friggin’ huge…
I love the way the plates match their respective states.
At 60 inches wide by 40 inches tall….it makes a statement, especially in a “Boy’s Room”.
Since our whole house is one big “Boy’s Room”, it would fit in with the rest of the junk just nicely.
This American Flag is pretty groovy as well, same price, same size (I think we’d have a much easier time making one like this)
Maybe I’m thinking a little big.
I’ve always liked these clocks…

This clock looks pretty simple to make.
Just need a clock kit…..and a drill.
Plenty of inspiration out there on the World Wide Web…..
Especially Pinterest
So what did we decide to do with those old license plates?
Y’all will just have to check back and see.
(Seriously, I was going to attach the project to this post, but it was so darn long…)
