  1. Oh there’s no sweeter film than Young Frankenstein. The love Brooks and Wilder have for classic monster movies is apparent in every scene. It is a favorite in our house and we quote it with alarming regularity. Don’t forget the scene near the end, where Peter Boyle (the Monster) is reading the newspaper through half-glasses (looking highly intelligent thanks to getting some of Gene Wilder’s brain power) and Madeline Kahn (his bride) is fussing around being all domestic and she tells him there are now two laundry hampers: one is for his shirts and things and the other “is just for socks and poo-poo undies”. We collapse into giggles every time. It’s greatness.

  2. Loved that movie. My hubby and I recently watched it. All the amazing actors, who have now left us. Thanks for sharing the tidbits about the movie I never knew.

Hope you guys are doing good. I dont see your notifications of postings, unless I check my social emails. ?.

    Cheers.

    • Watching Peter Boyle on Everybody Loves Raymond, I always imagined him as still being the monster. So sad when we lost him. Gene Hackman is still with us……. he just hasn’t made a movie in 15 years.
